Transition Series: Wearing White

Yes it’s past Labor Day and yes my skirt is white, but no longer is this a fashion faux pas. As I’ve gotten older and settled into my own style, I no longer place any whites in my out of season totes during the colder months. If anything, the fall and winter is the best time to embrace crisp whites.

For this outfit, I paired a burgundy ShoeDazzle sweater (purchased this spring for $7), with a gifted white skirt, and my pink velvet Zara heels. This isn’t my first time wearing white in the fall, and it definitely won’t be my last. Try pairing white with your favorite boots, a denim shirt, and neutral coat. However you decide to style your pieces comes down to what’s available in your wardrobe. Denim, cozy knits, and even a blazer can transition this spring and summer staple into a fall and winter must have.

It’s been so hot this summer that I needed a light airy fabric to wear and this dress fit the bill perfectly. I found this cute bohemian dress at one of my favorite stores earlier this year and only paid $10 for it. The rust color and side tassels immediately caught my eye and it was love at first sight!
